Smith’s “Stink Stopper” Quad Close Trap Seal Device is now available in two new sizes: 1.5 inch and 6 inch.

The new sizes offer a fit for a wider range of floor drains. All Quad Close Trap Seal Devices are easy to install in new and existing floor drains. They prevent sewer gasses from escaping the floor drain and can hold up to 10 inches of back pressure, preventing back flow.

Acorn Controls Introduces RSV16 and RSV16-LVR Upgrade Kits for Powers Valves!

Today we are announcing availability of the RSV16 and RSV16-LVR upgrade kits. These kits can be used to convert the following model Powers shower valves to an SV16 or SV16-LVR:

e700 series Temperature/Pressure Compensating
P900 series Pressure Balancing
PB410 series Pressure Balancing

With the availability of the RSV16 kits, all users of the Powers valves referenced above have the opportunity to upgrade to the superior benefits of the SV16 and SV16-LVR which include:

Our patented ligature resistant/ADA compliant trim – RSV16 only. Nothing comparable is offered by Powers.
Ceramic Shut-off. Powers, and every other T or T/P valve on the market, is compression shut-off and can only guarantee ADA to change the water temperature, not to open or close.
A non-rising stem. The Powers stem and handle go in and out with the operation of the valve, creating a potential pinch point upon closure.
1.25 GPM certification by IAPMO to ASSE 1016 rev. 2011. Powers valves certified prior to the 2011 revision were only required to certify at 2.5 GPM.
Inlet screens. Powers valves do not include inlet screens, so debris can effect critical operating components.
